FAQ

Straight answers about how Carte works.

A few useful answers about recipes, shopping, AI help, and getting started.

Frequently asked questions

What is Carte?

Carte is a meal planning app built around a standing menu instead of a fixed calendar. You keep dishes you like available, choose portions, get one consolidated shopping list, stock the kitchen, and cook at your own pace.

Does every saved recipe go on the grocery list?

No. The shopping list is built from the dishes and portions on your order — not from every recipe you have ever saved.

Is AI required?

No. The menu, portions, shopping list, pantry and cooking workflows work if you never ask. AI help is optional.

Can Carte calculate nutrition or calories?

No. Carte is not a nutrition, calorie, allergy or medical planner.

Can I import recipes from a website URL?

Not currently. You can capture a recipe from a supported photo, voice, pasted text, or by entering it yourself, then review the result.

How do I get started?

Open Carte, keep a short menu of dishes you actually cook, choose portions for what you want next, and shop from the combined list.
